So as the family and I ventured around the Treasure Valley this weekend. I noticed something I had never seen. Even after growing up here I am a bit cautious at even admitting this, but did you know what purple spray painted fence posts mean? Under the statues of Idaho as well as 10 other states across the nation the purple paint on fence posts means stay clear and no trespassing. Say WHAT? I had no idea that was what that meant. Here I am thinking wow look at those 4 posts out in the county that someone spent time spray painting purple. NOPE lol.

Texas, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Maine, Florida, Arkansas, Montana, Arizona and Kansas are have similar statues.

The "Purple Paint No Trespassing" Law was created back in 1987 as a way for hunters and wanderers to recognize the out of place color of a usually blank less palate of colors and steer clear. Some states also also orange or a lime color that signifies the same thing. Learn something new everyday right. - JD
