Did You Know Idaho Has a Magical Fairy Trail?

I’ve lived in Idaho nearly my whole life, but had never heard about this magical, whimsical place here in southern Idaho, till I saw this article from onlyinyourstate.com about a Fairy trail located near Melba.

Idaho is home to an incredible, magical, trail that runs along the Snake River that is a must see for children of all ages who believe in fairies. It's known to the locals as Cleo’s Ferry Museum and Nature Trail. The trail is approximately a mile long, nature walk, fairy trail and reality escape. And according to some visitors is a true tranquil oasis hiding along the Snake River near Melba Idaho.

Cleo's Ferry Museum is not misspelled.  It's spelled Ferry because it's located at historic Walter's Ferry Landing.  Cleo's Ferry Museum is the heartfelt work of the late Dr. Samuel (Pappy) Swayne and his wife Cleo. The trail meanders along the Snake River with multiple stone pathways and quaint bridges to explore.  The trail is filled with birdhouses, fairy villages and inspirational messages. It's a trip any kid and kid at heart would love, and who knows, maybe it will instill a belief in the magical mystical creatures known as Fairies.

Getting here: From Boise/Meridian, follow ID-45 past Melba Rd. Make a left at Dan’s Ferry Gas Station and follow the unmarked private road, which is lined with rusty tricycles and vintage metal-ware. Follow the signs to the parking lot and donation/check-in area. Keep in mind that this retreat is home to wildlife of all kinds and is a no-dogs trail.
