If you've listened to the Mix Morning Show for a while, you know that Mike and his wife are pretty sure they have a ghost or ghosts in their house.  This past weekend, Mike's wife was on a business trip to Georgia and their son was at a baseball tournament in Walla Walla...so Mike was home all by himself.  And he had the bejeezes scared out of him.

In the past ten years or so some of the strange things that have happened in our house is sounds of footsteps, when nobody else is there.....my wife has smelled candles burning, I once witnessed a swinging towel rack that didn't stop moving for over half an hour, till I physically stopped it.  Things like that.

This past Saturday night sitting by myself  watching TV, I witnessed  our basement door swing open.  It was open just about an inch and all of a sudden, by itself it swung open almost all the way.  I was freaked.  I immediately got up and turned on some more lights..and of course I closed the door to the basement.

My heart was pounding a mile a minute and I couldn't figure out a reasonable explanation for how or why that door would swing open all by itself...so I sat there intently watching the door half expecting it tow either come swinging open again or hear knocking sounds.  Trust me, I was more than a little freaked out over all this.....so I kept watching and waiting until I finally realized that through all of this our dog Baily was missing. We all know that dogs have a keen sense about the presence of spirits, so this freaked me out even more.....so I began calling her name and looking for her...I couldn't find her any where...I looked under beds, in bedrooms, literally every where.... As I came back into the living room I walked past the basement door again and this time I heard scratching at the door...this freaked me out even more.  But I had to see what was scratching at the door, or I would never sleep in that house any way....so I swung the door open and there stood....our dog Baily..she had gotten her nose in the door and swung it open so that she could go downstairs.  I don't know who was more freaked out her or me...anyway, we are looking for a new home for Baily.
