I have two children but I have never given birth. Our oldest son, Jaden, was adopted through foster care at the age of 6. With our second child, Cooper, we were lucky enough to experience the entire pregnancy, as our birth mom lived with us from 8 weeks pregnant until his birth. It was the most wonderful experience and situation that you could wish for. We were present at every doctor’s visit and ultrasound. Talked and sang to our baby almost every night. Felt kicks and saw the weird alien-like belly movements that are so fun and crazy at the same time. We had such a special bond with our baby before he was even born and I will be forever grateful for that gift. I knew that I wanted to do something special to document each month and her growing belly.

I love DIY projects and Pinterest ideas, so I created a Pinterest board on monthly pregnancy pictures and started pinning!

I ended up taking monthly belly pictures in front of a chalkboard that I decorated with the pregnancy month and fun facts about that month and the size of the baby (which was always compared to the size of fruits and vegetables).

This couple took it a step further and created an adorable pregnancy time-lapse video. The song lyrics and the precious moments at the end choked me up a bit. Have you documented your pregnancy in a creative way?
