Above, you can see a picture of my first grade class at Saint Paul's Catholic School in Nampa...WAY back when! Any guesses which is me?

I attended Saint Paul's from Preschool through 8th Grade and to this day, the school and parish has been the single most influential "thing", in my life. This school developed me into a complete student that was able to go on and succeed at both Bishop Kelly and Gonzaga University and for that, I'll be ever grateful. This school taught me MORE than what's in the textbooks, encouraged us to answer the "so what's" of the world, and helped me with a skill set many spend years searching for: finding good in all things.

I woke up to some pretty frustrating news today as the Nampa Police Department reported that a giant nutcracker decoration for the Parish's annual Candy Cane Lane Bazaar. In fact, these nutcrackers were around the school when I was a kid. Who would steal it and WHY from a church? Your guess is as good as mine.

Nampa Police and Saint Paul's are simply asking: just return the nutcracker.

My unsolicited opinion? He's a grumpy looking decoration...do you REALLY need that at your house!?

See the post from Nampa Police, below:

As a St. Paul's alumnus, I'm willing to make an offer: return the nutcracker, no questions asked, to the 103.5 KISS FM Studios (827 E Park Boulevard, Boise) and I'll hook it up with some concert tickets.
