Check Out This Mountain Lion Swimming Across The Salmon River

A Jet Boat captain spotted a mountain lion swimming across the Salmon River! What? I thought cats didn't like water?!?!

I saw these pictures on KBOI2.com this morning and was shocked! I've been on a river, I've seen a mountain lion but never was the big cat swimming in said river! The story first broke on the Big Country News Connection Facebook Page.

ASOTIN, WA - Jet boat captain and fishing guide Nate Luther says in 19 years of running the area's rivers, he has never seen a cougar swimming across the river. He says the 4th graders who were on his boat were just as excited as he was when they saw this cougar swimming just below the lower Salmon River.
