Boise State has improved the way they keep students safe in the digital age.

You will find blue light emergency phones throughout the BSU campus. But now, students will only have to reach inside their pocket to reach university security with the touch of a button.

Boise State rolled out the Rave Guardian app as an extension of its Bronco Alert System. The app allows anyone with a Boise State email address around-the-clock access to the campus security call center. The panic button on Rave Guardian allows students, faculty and staff to call security with the touch of a button. There is also an option to text in a security tip anonymously, or set a safety timer which allows a designated guardian to check in on you using the GPS on your phone.

Boise State security officials say this free app is part of a comprehensive safety system the university has in place. Share with anyone you know that spends time on or around the campus!
