It's not an immediate change, but in the next 30 plus years Boise State University will be making some changes around the campus.

A multi-phase expansion was announced on Tuesday that could span over 30 years of change. Some notable differences would be the expansion of the size of the campus, a possible replacement venue for Taco Bell Arena, a 5,000 seat Baseball stadium, and creation of new streets and walkways for students. A few prominent landmarks on the Boise campus will change as well to make room for the growing size of students expected to join the university in the coming years. Bronco Gym will be torn down and some nearby neighborhoods will lose some housing.

Additional student housing will be built in preparation for the estimated 30 to 35,000 students expected to enroll. No matter how many more buildings are built and the amount of traffic that will increase because of it, I sure am happy to see my lil home town university grow as much as it has in the past 10 plus years. Not long ago people outside of the state of Idaho had no clue what or who Boise State was, now it seems like we are in the same breath as, dare I say, schools like Stanford, Oregon and University of Washington.
