Lists! We love getting on lists!

This time the Treasure Valley landed on a solid one.

FastCompany.com compiled "The Next 10 Cities For Tech Jobs" this month, and Boise lands at a respectable #7.

Scott Garner from ZipRecruiter says:

If you just got out of school and you're looking to get into tech you could go to Silicon Valley, but you're going to be facing a lot of folks who have a lot of experience, who have been there a while, and an incredibly expensive housing market.

Boise currently has over 8,000 tech jobs open, including application engineers, firmware engineers, and mobile software developers.

We've become such a hot spot for recruiters because of not only the number of growing jobs, but because of the low cost of living and our bustling outdoor life.

Garner on Boise:

It's always one of those places that is ranked near the top of the best places to live because of the quality of life, affordability, recreational opportunities, and it's got a great business environment as well.

Sadly, radio DJ doesn't qualify as a "tech job" so I'll just be over here talking about Justin Bieber. Don't mind me.
