The winners of Tuesday's school board election have been announced, and they'll be sworn in as Trustees next Monday, September 12th.

Beth Oppenheimer and Dave Wagers each won a seat on the Boise School District Board of Trustees.

Boise Weekly says voter turnout was super low, and only five percent of registered voters turned out to cast a ballot.  There are more than a hundred thousand registered voters in Boise, and a little over five thousand ballots were turned in.

Oppenheimer and Wagers will be sworn in Monday, and then they'll get to work.  Both have said they're looking forward to supporting Treasure Valley schools in any way they can, and improving one kid at a time.  Now, if only we could improve that voter turnout.
