The Treasure Valley is on the move. Not just on foot, or by bus or car but by bike. The cycling culture in the City Of Trees is growing and starting tomorrow (Friday 4/21) it will get even bigger.

The Boise Bike Project has for years been an integral part of the way Boise locals get around this great city. What started over 10 years ago on the top of a mountain in Idaho City by a few "Hot Shots" has grown and taken fire in our ever growing community. The Boise Bike Project was born from the idea that the city was missing something and that one day we could have the title of “Bicycling Capital of America” The 501(c)(3) has made its mission to accomplish this title as well as reach out to children and locals in the Treasure Valley to skip the motor life and get on a bike and ride our Gem of a city and making owning and using a bike affordable for everyone.

This Friday that foothold on the community will get bigger as BBP is expanding and opening a new location at 1027 S. Lusk in downtown Boise. The 2,000 square foot growth will open up to a full fanfare. Boise Mayor Beiter will be on hand as well before the ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:00 pm to say a few words.  Then it kicks into higher gear around 6:00 pm as food from BBQ4Life and drinks courtesy of 10 Barrell Brewing Co are served.

Visitors are encouraged to buy, tour, and enjoy the festivities of the hard work that is a year and a few months of hard work volunteering and outreach culminate in a good old fashion celebration.
