Boise Based Company, Bodybuilding.com, Lays Off 90 Employees Just Before Christmas

What a horrible time of year to get this type of news.

Boise-based company Bodybuilding.com laid off about 15 percent of their workers today, which is about 90 employees.

They announced an organizational downsizing. In a statement they said, “The change is part of an ongoing planned restructure designed to strengthen Bodybuiling.com's core business and reach a wider set of customers."

The layoffs were announced during a morning meeting, when employees were told to wait for emails that would tell each of them whether or not they still had a job.

I can't even imagine the stress and worry that some families will feel this holiday season.
