These were just tiny little babies. You can find all sorts of wildlife around the greenbelt area.

At first I didn't know what was rustling in the brush. Casey mentioned they were baby quails, I immediately had to look just a little closer and was hoping we could shoo them a bit away from the bike path.

They were tiny and I am not sure if this is late in the season for them but they seemed pretty tiny. Well camouflaged fur babies and they were chirping a lot. There mom was leading the way deeper in the brush which again is what we were trying to do.

We think they are 'California Quails'.
