This Is Why You Shouldn’t Throw Away Your Old Junk

I'm moving to a new house right now and my whole life is in boxes.  Well, actually, I'm out of boxes and I'm waiting on a friend to respond to my begging and bring me more because she professes to have some sort of connection to the black market of boxes. I'll wait.

I was cleaning out the attic yesterday and ran across this old jewelry box that I had when I was twelve or thirteen and kept into high school.  I opened it up and took out a couple of polished rocks that my uncle Mel made into necklaces back in the day, and then I threw the jewelry box in the trash because it was full of junk.

Then my beloved 4-year old that makes this blog so frequently with her unique antics, dug it out of the trash and said, "Mama look!  Treasures!"

What Movies are on Your Must-Have List for Kids?

If you have kids, you'll be buying 'Frozen' on Bluray or DVD Tuesday right?  Yep!

I've already ordered it from Amazon.com because I have three daughters and owning that movie is in my parental handbook.  And shh...don't tell, but I LOVED it just as much as they did, and give it a big high-five for being so inspirational for young kids and us older kids too.

I blogged awhile back about the 4-year old that had to go potty right at a pivotal moment during 'Frozen', about 15 minutes from the end and we missed the best part.  That's her in the pic.  Guilty as charged!

She's never still so it's a little blurry, and I neglected to properly brush her hair before taking the pic and she's slightly disheveled.  So it's a perfect capture of a moment at the Austin house really.

What’s Your Best Tipsy Purchase?

Have you ever gone to happy hour and then gone shopping?  Yep!

What did you buy?  I spent $15 on margaritas one time and then went to a store and spent $8000.

If you're thinking about buying something anyway, alcohol can put you right over the edge!  And it can talk you into the strangest things.

Who Needs Three Meals a Day When You Can Have Eight?

With the Idaho Food Festival coming up Saturday, I've been doing a lot of thinking about food. Yum!  I'm a huge fan of sushi, and I can't wait to try some straight out of a food truck.  And bring on the turkey legs too.

A skinny friend once told me that she eats pretty much all day long, and she's never really starving and never miserably full.  She just eats when she feels a little hunger pang, quits when she's satisfied, and goes on about her day.

Genius?
