I told you last month that Dos Equis' was getting ready to retire "The Most Interesting Man In The World" Well, it's official, and what a great way to say goodbye to an icon.
The most interesting man in the world, the face of Dos Equis' beer for the past decade is headed for one last adventure, a manned mission to Mars. Unfortunately this trip is one way.
The character has been played for nearly a decade by Jonathan Goldsmith. A spokesman for the Mexican Beer company said "that even though Goldsmith won't be returning, the character of the most interesting man in the world will return with a new actor" The company spokesman also revealed that it was time for an update for the ad campaign as it's been almost a decade since Dos Equis' introduced Goldsmith and the times as well as the beer drinkers have changed.
