Get ready, it's a Festivus for the rest of us! A nativity scene and a Christmas tree have been joined with a Festivus pole at the Florida State Capitol over the past few years.  The pole is a 6 foot tall pole made of empty Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans.

Don't get too happy, it's not as if Festivus will now be a recognized national or state holiday.  It's more of a protest of the nativity scene.  If you are familiar with Seinfeld, Festivus is Celebrated on December 23rd.  Festivus is a holiday that grew in popularity, thanks to the show Seinfeld.  Traditions include the Airing of the Grievances, the Feats of Strength and  of course putting up the Festivus Pole.

Since it worked so well in Florida, a man has now applied and received consent to do the same in Oklahoma..  This pole will be topped by a disco ball and benefits the Human Fund (another play on a Seinfeld episode). The Human Fund in Oklahoma supports gay and lesbian ideals in the state.

. Come on who doesn't want to see a Festivus Tree displayed in aluminum splendor in front of the Idaho State Capitol?
