A Boise Mom and 5 Year Old Son Attacked By Hornets in the Foothills

This is so scary! Nature is definitely unpredictable! A Boise mom and her 5 year old son were attacked by a huge swarm of hornets in the foothills.  They started their hike to Elephant Loop and got attacked, completely covering their bodies. They ran but the hornets kept following them and stinging them.

The hornets continued to follow and sting Miller and her son as they sprinted to their truck. Boise Parks and Rec said this incident is unusual but reminds hikers that nature, even in a park, is still wild. So be aware of your surroundings and be prepared!
