#3 of Mike & Nicole’s 12 Strays of Christmas – Spunky

The 12 Strays of Christmas continues tomorrow on The New Mix Morning Show with Mike and Nicole just after 8am.

Each weekday until December 19, we will feature a dog waiting to be adopted from the Meridian Canine Rescue. The goal is to empty out the shelter before the holidays to give each precious pup a warm and loving forever home!

Our friends at Camp Bow Wow are providing all dogs adopted during Mike and Nicole's 12 Strays of Christmas a generous gift as well! FIVE days of doggy daycare at either one of their two Treasure Valley locations. (3430 S Tk Ave, Boise or 2134 E Franklin Rd, Meridian) How awesome is that?!

Once the pups leave the Mix 106 studio each day, they will visit The PULSE Running & Fitness Shop in Meridian from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. So, anyone interested in meeting and playing with dog, can do so!

Stray #3 - Wednesday, December 6
Spunky
Spunky is about 7 years old. 
HISTORY: Spunky’s owner died and the person who wanted to take care of him found him to be underfoot too much and she was afraid she would trip over him so they gave him up at the pound.
PERSONALITY: Spunky is definitely, spunky. He is a happy go lucky guy who loves everyone. He is smart, curious and likes to keep busy. He gets along with other dogs and is playful. However, sometimes he doesn’t know when to stop and other dogs get annoyed. Also, he likes to follow you around the house — CONSTANTLY. He enjoys chew toys and all treats.
TRAINING: Spunky is housebroken, loves to go on walks and loves to cuddle next to you on the couch. He knows how to sit. He is highly food motivated, so training him should be easy.
