10 Things I Love About Beer

I was born in the Rocky Mountains so it's only fitting that I love beer made from the Rocky Mountains. But my love of beer doesn't stop there.

Beer is my drink of choice. My mom told me when I turned 21 that I need to get a "drink." Something that was my "go to drink" so I could always order it and seem like I knew a little something about it. As she put it, "you can't always drink beer, Kate. A woman in a cocktail dress and heels can't be holding a beer." Like so many other things, I did not take my mom's advice and proudly wear my black cocktail dress and my blue jeans while drinking beer. I never order liquor and if you see me drinking a mixed drink, watch out. It's going to be a rough night!

10 Things I Love About Beer

1. The taste. That first sip against my lips and as it hits my throat is so refreshing. The taste of wheat and barley soothes me. Not too many hops please, I'm not a bitter girl.
2. Beer is everywhere in the world. (I couldn't find one shot of Fireball in Mexico. But they had beer! Cerveza please!)
3. Sitting in my back porch with a cold beer in my hand is a slice of Skid Row Heaven.
4. Beer transports easily. I can fit a lot more beer in a cooler than I can handles of liquor.
5. Sitting by a campfire, along a river, drinking a cold beer is my happy place.
6. Beer is social. Beer drinkers are approachable. The conversation starts with the type of beer drinker they are and then the conversations are endless after that.
7. Every brewery is different so the choices are endless.
8. If your football team is losing, beer takes the edge off.
9. It has a cool sound when opened. Nothing like the crack of beer tab or bottle top.
10. I'm prettier and funnier the more beer you drink.
